this is quite interesting...
when you're a kid, you cry for thing you can have, but you simply won't because someone wiser than you decided so. there are even times when your cries work and you get to have what you're looking for...
when you grow up, you cry for things that you logically cannot have! and that's exactly what makes you cry! it's not not having that thing, it's knowing that you simply can't have it...
I'll give you an example;
I wanna have you next to me right now! but there is no logical way to allow me so.
and then I cry...

The Dementors are soulless creatures, invisible to Muggles, but affect them in the same way. Their presence causes that absence of being able to envisage that you will ever be cheerful again. The absence of hope. That very deadened feeling, which is so very different from feeling sad.
Being blind, Dementors sense and feed on the positive emotions, happiness and good memories of human beings to move around, forcing them to relive their worst memories. The very presence of a Dementor makes the surrounding atmosphere grow cold and dark.

I think I have been visited by a Dementor recently!!!
